Financial Peace University: Our new series!

When Tim and I decided to start our Total Money Makeover we didn't have a strong church family and were stretched to our max with time commitments. I knew they offered classes at local churches, but we didn't have the time. Instead, we decided to order the CDs and do it on our own. We committed to listening to one CD a week and we did. I'll be honest, it was often while we were both distracted with other things, but it served it's purpose and got us started.

Over 2 years later, we're now active members of our church and feel strongly in actively sharing our story and our experiences with others. When we saw that they were about to start a new 13-week course, we were really excited and offered to come assist in any way possible. Last night was our first class. I have to say, it's so much more fun to watch Dave on video than simply listening to the CD. If you ever have the chance, I HIGHLY recommend making the time to sign up for the full Financial Peace University class. Many churches, including ours, offer financial assistance and scholarships if people need help with purchasing the class kit. It will definitely be money well spent. I've decided that actually going through FPU as a group will also be a great opportunity for me to start a new series on my blog. Every week I'll write a post that coordinates with that week's lesson. This can't substitute for the overwhelming affect of actually taking the course. I simply will be using this time to reflect on our journey. Feel free to ask any questions. I have a feeling I'm going to really like it!! (If you haven't figured it out, I love structure and purpose.) I hope you enjoy it too!

Ready to take that first step and attend the class? Go here to find a class near you!
